+0.8°C

18 of the 19 warmest years all have occurred since 2001. The year 2016 ranks as the warmest year on record. The latest annual average anomaly is +0.8 °C. (source: NASA/GISS, Global Climate Change)

2.5 billion

By 2050, two out of every three people are likely to be living in cities or other urban areas — highlighting the need for more sustainable urban planning and public services. Most of the increase is expected to be highly-concentrated in just a handful of countries. (source: UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs)

Slow

The AEC industry is not moving fast enough. Design are often developed manually without taking advantage the wealth of environmental and contextual information available online. This results in an inefficient, error-prone process — resulting in poor sustainable outcomes and wasting time.

World’s data

Automatically import the world’s city data: Global Information System (GIS), climate, regulations, costing, and social check-ins. DBF queries multiple APIs for project specific data to drive the design process. No more searching for site information.

Generative Design

DBF uses artificial intelligence to process project data to generate hundreds of high-quality massing options in seconds. Presented in a visual matrix for easy comparison and selection.

Fun and Easy-to-Use

Applying advances from the video game industry, DBF’s interface is designed for everyone. From a few easy-to-use tools and settings, anyone can create designs in a fast and fun process.

Stream to BIM

Once a design is selected online, DBF can instantly stream design data to Architectural BIM software as a native model with the press of a button. This allows architects to start with a data-rich model instead of an empty file.

Location data

Data is used to create economically feasible and environmentally sustainable buildings that meet urban regulations.

Digital Blue Foam hunts, gathers and computes contextual data such as climate, program and urban networks to determine the right building configuration using advances in artificial intelligence, generative design, and web-based 3D visualization.
