As a team of architects, engineers, researchers, and software developers, Digital Blue Foam's goal is to develop a digital data platform that will lead a radical transformation of the building industry towards carbon-negative. We are redesigning the building design process by using data-driven techniques that will improve how architects and planners create spaces for us and future generations to live, work, and play.
In 2016, Camiel Weijenberg initiated a multi-year collaboration with the Capstone program at the Singapore University of Technology and Design to explore new sustainable design technologies and generative design - from new software to new materials and building components.
That same year, he met Sayjel Vijay Patel, a Visiting Fellow from MIT, in Singapore. Through their common interest in finding radical new ways for sustainable design and emerging architectural technologies, they conceived and developed Digital Blue Foam.
After one year of development, Digital Blue Foam is now being pilot-tested.
Ultimately, we see our clients as designers of projects that are balanced - or at least have a positive environmental impact. It is time to take responsibility and action in order to change the harmful practices of our industry.
